A 440-4 in a Chrysler was likely a standard 440 but the 440-4 in the GTX for example might have 5-15 more horsepower and was considered the HP 440. But some people would consider any 440 engine an HP engine so I'd take the seller's description with a grain of salt.

In the 440 years (late 60's/early 70's) this plant built full size C bodies like Chrysler Newports, Dodge Monocos, and Plymouth Fury's. Pretty much 100% your 440 was a non HP that came out of a car like that.
