Hello All I am building a 361ci Big Block I pulled out of a 1963 Chrysler Newport (also pulled the trans and rear axle to complete the set) but I am wondering if anyone knows what the original 4bbl carburetor that came on the 361. My project is a 361 Bored .060 over, new pistons, new cam...
The B Engines: 350, 361, 383, and 400 Thanks to Eddie Hostler and Hemi Andersen, and the Chrysler Engines book. by David Zatz Chrysler Corporation's first V8 engine tapped expertise in creating high-performance airplane motors; it was efficient, durable, powerful, costly, and slow to build...
Beautiful 1962 Plymouth Fury 361 Golden Commando, 4 speed. This Fury is outstanding with show chrome, polished trim, perfect instrument cluster, and outstanding upholstery.
1966 continued and expanded on Chrysler’s incredible proliferation of engines, with two slant sixes (170 and 225 cubic inches), the 273 and 318 LA V8s, the 361 and 383, and the 440 engines as well as the first appearance of the 426 Hemi, available in Hemi and Street Hemi form.
The standard 265-hp 361 V8 (and optional 383 D-500 engines with 325 and 330 hp), may have overcome objections to the styling; Dodge made 14,032, which seems like a very small number, but was still better than the prior year.
The base engine for the Polara 500 was the 361 V8. A Dart 440 with that engine and a TorqueFlite automatic, with a 3.23:1 rear axle, did 0-60 in 8.1 seconds, with a 15.4 second standing-start quarter mile time — quite good for the time, and credited (by Dodge) to weight loss.

B-block engine was a 361; Fury's was a 383. Both Fury convertibles, the four-door hardtop, Fury III wagon and Sport Fury hardtop all came with standard V8 power, as did the Belvedere's Satellite line.
