I previously tried the borax/hydrogen peroxide mix and I also found it too harsh. It made my skin look worse and super blotchy.
But my biggest concern is that "Ted" now recommends that in addition to 1/8 or 1/4 of borax, he says to put 30 drops of 3% hydrogen peroxide in as well to be taken INTERNALLY.
- Used externally: Dog mange is confirmed demodex mites and the only treatment that effectively cured of dog mange is 1% hydrogen peroxide and borax saturated solution applied topically. Many people believe the demodex mites is the cause of rosacea. What I am sure about is it is an insect issue. The method of killing them is external application of 1% hydrogen peroxide with borax saturated ...
3 to 1 ratio of purified or distilled water to hydrogen peroxide. Take a coffee filter and place into the solution, adding a teaspoon of borax. I use a plastic spoon to crush/mix the borax into the solution and let it sit for a couple hours, swishing once in a while to make as saturated of a solution as possible.
If this doesn't work, you may want to try your Borax treatment with Hydrogen Peroxide. At first my skin went a bit scabby and peeled but now the skin underneath is showing through very smooth and spot free.
Probably you'll have to order the borax. use that earthclinic info, since people from all over the world look for borax and find it somewhere. Don't know if you'll be able to find h020 (hydrogen peroxide) in Portugal. And it's a very cheap product, so I don't even know if anyone sells it on line. Also it's liquid, so it's hard to ship.
