I don't understand why the results obtained in Elmer are pretty different from that ones of Matlab. I have used the same formula for the velocity profile but as you can see from the attached images, there is discrepancy. Looking at the test poly file, the last section with attributes shows three regions. The three regions are meant to be the materials, and the three areas look to be marked as such in the .ele file, as you mentioned. Doesn't look like elmergrid understood the three materials should be three bodies.
