At 4 weeks I was still doing twice daily sitz baths since my perineal tissue did not like the stitches. The swelling went away around 6 weeks post op for me. I had to do this after the delivery of the baby whose head caused most of the damage that has just been repaired and it helped to get the swelling down. You can use home freezer icy pole moulds (not sure what you call them in the US) or fill condoms with water, tie them off and freeze them. Both give you the right shape for the perineal area. J ...
