My daughter has Spectrum 400 internet and I setup her Tivo and mini about 8 years ago using MOCA and put a filter at the entry point in the cable box outside. Last week her internet was down and I stopped by and checked the Modem and router and doing speed test I would get about 4mb only. I...
When I use a different access point connected by MoCA (between the two MM1025 adapters) to Ethernet and then to the cable modem I only get about 120 mb/s on Speedtest. Perhaps this is because I still have another Roamio (which is MoCA 1.1) sitting out there on MoCA. This shouldn't matter since MoCA is theoretically point to point.
The Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) is a commonly used test to detect mild cognitive decline and early signs of dementia. It can help identify people at risk of Alzheimer's disease, and screen ...
The MoCA test is a 10-minute exam used to find early signs of dementia. A score of 26 or more on the MoCA is considered normal. The MoCA test reviews seven areas of cognitive function, including ...
Are there any issues with having 4 splitters on a cable mesh mesh network with OTA and MOCA devices? I have the following: 2x Tivo Minis 2x Moca Adapters 1x Tivo Roamio 1x TV Antenna I know splitters can weaken a signal, though I am a little confused of how it would work in a situation where...
A MoCA splitter is just a splitter with an embedded MoCA filter (sometimes called a PoE filter). A MoCA filter is a low pass filter, and it operates by reflecting the higher MoCA frequencies back to whence they came. Most (high quality) splitters have a high port-to-port isolation (so RF transmitted on one port is mostly isolated from the other), but if the signal is strong enough, some ...
Enabling MoCA bridging on the cable gateway would have created two bridges between the Ethernet and MoCA/coax segments and created a network loop, bringing your network to its knees. This symptom is seen frequently. If the gateway is to be your MoCA bridge and the BOLT is connected to the gateway via Ethernet, MoCA must be disabled on the BOLT.
The simple, practical answer is no. The technically correct, more complicated answer is that two or more separate MoCA networks are possible - but not without affecting maximum throughput and is dependent on MoCA gear specs and other signals present on the coax. Are you using MoCA 1.1, standard or bonded 2.0 or 2.5 gear? --
