The Linn protractor is a standard 2-point protractor, but with extra markings for use a mounting template. (1) Place the protractor over the spindle and the stylus tip on null point A (rotating the angle of the protractor as necessary) and check that the cartridge/cantilever is parallel with the grid.

After alignment with the protractor, my needle is about 57mm from the back end of the headshell (cylinder), with a slight angle to the headshell, and used almost all of the alignment slots. Is this correct? I did verify I printed to scale as you'll see in the pics. Thanks.
