Installing Sims 3 on an SSD should be better, not worse, and reinstalling the game shouldn't affect your user data. Try instead installing the worlds

sims looks sharp, i have edge smoothing high, what to do? is it suppose to look like this? the sims didn't look like this before.
Sorry for the late reply. I went back ten pages, just over three months, and longer in a couple of master threads, and I didn't find any dxdiags with a Ryzen 7000-series processor. The CPUs are popular enough that I would expect to see at least a few reports if they had trouble running Sims 3. ...

It's significant overkill for Sims 4 by itself, but that gives you some overhead to account for ReShade and any high poly custom content you might install. And options with the slower, but still sufficient, RTX 4050 are not much cheaper, so it's probably worth the extra £50-100, depending on the model.
